Zebra Mobile, a talented group of entrepreneurial software engineers, developed the idea of creating an extension for all U.S.-based newspapers to their school district(s). With a ton of code at hand and a need for structured direction, Zebra contacted big
namebrain to define, design, and deliver a UX strategy.
The result was a
feature-rich, understandable, and flexible UX design allowing for seamless information integration for students, parents, teachers and administrators.
This design allowed comprehensive scheduling and communications to occur per school aligning all users attributing to a school. The design also allowed for each newspaper per school district to push just in time information to the site providing up to the minute news alerts. The system was piloted in three areas within the U.S. and continues to accommodate more newspapers and schools because of its overall usefulness and delivery.
Additionally, a microsite was designed, developed and deployed as part of the Your School Central franchise as a sales and marketing tool for Zebra Mobile. The intended audience remaining as before and included newspapers as a target goal.
